Marion Draayer

Marion Draayer resides in Country Village, Jurupa Valley, CA, where she teaches the fine arts to interested residents.  She graduated from Northwestern College, Orange City, IA with a BA in Art Education. Marion is a member of the Associated Artists of The Inland Empire and Pomona Valley Art Association.  She has displayed her work in juried fine art shows in Ontario, Mont Claire, Rancho Cucamonga and Loma Linda, CA.

She was introduced to art was through a weekly public radio program, “Let’s Draw.” That program was the only instruction to the arts in that north central Wisconsin, ‘50’s era one room country classroom. It ignited her love for the art of drawing and painting. Oils are her main medium. Because of the COVID lockdown early 2020, Marion has ventured into watercolor, acrylic, pastels, ink washes, charcoal, & colored pencil. She had the honor of having one of her oil paintings, selected by Senator Richard Roth, to represent district 31 for inclusion in the Senate’s 2013-14 California Contemporary Art Collection for the18 month exhibit.
